Z9Festival is a young literature festival based in Sibiu, Romania.

Started in 2015 and organized by the Z9 Magazine and the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, the festival was conceived as a platform for emerging writers from all over the world. Every year, in the city that was Europe’s 2007 Capital of Culture, a number of select guests read their work in front of the Romanian audience and participate in debates, dialogues, and conferences. In 2018, PlayGround Magazine dubbed it “the best young literature festival in Europe”.

You can check out previous guests here: Ist edition; IInd edition; IIIrd edition; IVth edition.
